Orange Spritzer - popular German summer cooler!

The time of the year has come when soups and stews are replaced with refreshing beverages in refrigerators. Summer and cool drinks are practically synonymous in any part of the world. So, as the season begins to change and we welcome hot days for the next few months, I will share with you replenishing summer drinks. I hope each one of you finds your spirit-drink this summer! Here's another one...

Orange Spritzer
A Spritzer is basically any drink topped with  carbonated water or sparkling wine. 'Spritzer' translates into splash and is a colloquial Austrian word. Most regions in Germany prefer the word 'Schorle', which again refers to a drink diluted with carbonated water. Well, sparkling water in Germany is not always artificially carbonated but comes from natural mineral springs infused with gas. As much as Germans are known for beer and wine, fruit Spritzers (schorle) are equally beloved summer coolers and popular in restaurants.

So here is a popular Orange spritzer for the summer days. With grill parties and summer picnics around the corner, this will be a life-saver. All you need is orange juice, a sweetener syrup and sparkling water. You can obviously buy 100% natural fruit juices from the stores or if you're particular like me, squeeze fresh juice from oranges for the recipe. Both ways, it is a delightfully refreshing.
